This is a Pro-Bono Volunteer Position

The Corporate Partnership Development Team Lead provides leadership, direction, and identifies companies of interest that could partner with JerseySTEM to grow engagement within underserved communities, as well as with companies and colleges/universities within NJ.  

• Identify companies of interest that could partner with JerseySTEM
• Research company, identifies stakeholders (CSR, DEI, Community Impact, ERG) and locate their contacts
• Work to continuously improve and streamline JerseySTEM’s approach to community engagement as well as implementation of Outreach Programs
• Collaborate with the Head of Marketing to ensure coordination of branding and marketing to the community as well as increasing awareness of what JerseySTEM offers and how college students can volunteer
• Participate and work with other JerseySTEM leadership to map-out strategic approaches for growth of JerseySTEM 
• Partner with Marketing to ensure they are supporting our initiatives where it makes sense
• Attend virtual team meetings once a week (Saturdays at 10 am EST, for ~30-60 minutes)

• Genuine concern about/interest in solving the STEM education gender and opportunity gap
• Strong leadership/team building skills
• Resourceful, can-do attitude
• Experience leading a function (i.e. department manager, etc)
• Networking experience preferred
• Sales experience preferred
• Prior industry experience in pharmaceuticals, tech, IT, and/or professional services (e.g., management consulting) highly preferred
• Comfort working in a ‘virtual organization’ with digital tools (G-Suite, Slack, Jira, salesforce)
• Would be a plus if candidate has flexible schedule to allow for non-regular, scheduled meetings during the workweek 1-2 times a monthTime Commitment
