JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network of pro-bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey.

Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.

Membership is a minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.

Overview

This is a pro-bono volunteer position.

 

JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.

 

The Google Workspace Subject Matter Expert would be responsible for assessing existing and best practices for utilizing Google (gmail, doc, sheet,drive...) as the “office” package for JerseySTEM.  These best practices would need to be documented, communicated throughout the organization and successfully implemented. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an internal SME for Google Workplace
  • Partner wit the Learning and Development team to create  user training documentation for end users 
  • Build onto an organizational structure that will allow for maximum automation and scalability for the future.  
  • Bring forth recommendations on how to effectively & efficiently utilize Google Workplace.   How many channels are needed, who should be members of these channels, etc.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of Google Workplace  experience with techniques, methodologies and best practices
  • Strong communication/presentation skills to effectively interact with team members, scrum masters and leadership
  • Experience building, managing and monitoring standards
  • Effectively prioritizes work, troubleshoots issues, communicates, and completes tasks on time
  • An ability to thrive in highly flexible environments

Minimum time commitment:  3-5 hours/ week with committed work times, for a minimum 6 months period
