Overview

This is a pro-bono volunteer position.

 

JerseySTEM is a grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to offering innovative opportunities and bridging the gender gap in STEM education for children in New Jersey’s underserved communities. We are dedicated to partnering with local schools, parents, and educators to create and enhance STEM-oriented educational opportunities for students in grades 5-8 as part of their paths towards college and career readiness. We provide free after-school, project-based, and hands-on structured programs in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Classes include: Robotics, Coding, Engineering, Life Sciences, etc. Classes last up to 10 weeks and are predominantly taught by trained volunteer college students.

 

The Brand Marketing Lead oversees a team of marketers responsible for executing JerseySTEM's social and program marketing initiatives. This role will report into the Head of Marketing and will work cross-functionally with various department leads.

Responsibilities

  • Develops brand marketing campaigns that drive awareness for JerseySTEM and its programs
  • Maintains the JerseySTEM brand voice
  • Recruits and manages Social Marketing and Program managers to develop/execute campaigns
  • Owns the historical documentation of Brand Marketing processes, roles and responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Experience with fundraising or donation-driven marketing campaigns
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Decisive, results-driven
  • Self-motivated, proactive
  • Excels at cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience working within G-Suite, Slack and JIRA preferred
  • Experience managing/leading a team

 

Weekly Time Commitment 

  • 5/7 Hours week, 12 month minimum commitment
