The main objective of this role is to design a comprehensive and age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with our organization's mission and educational goals.

Also will create user training to ensure all team members understand how to effectively and efficiently utilize JIRA for managing tasks.

This is a pro-bono volunteer position.   JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.   The Slack Subject Matter Expert would be responsible for assessing existing Slack channels along with channel members and determining best practices for utilizing Slack as the communication vehicle for JerseySTEM.  These best practices would need to be documented, communicated throughout the organization and successfully implemented.   

JERSEYSTEM is a grassroots 501(c) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (“STEM”) education to 5th-8th grade girls in New Jersey underserved communities.   We partner with socially responsible companies and their employees, youth organizations in underserved communities, and civic-minded college students and universities. Together we develop and deliver innovative, hands-on, and online after school projects and inquiry-based learning opportunities that develop teamwork, 21st-century problem-solving skills, and self-esteem.   Join our mission as Head of Marketing and provide leadership to the marketing team and JerseySTEM for the design, development, and implementation of marketing material and internal/external communications of policies, programs and systems to align with and support the strategic goals and objectives of JerseySTEM.  This position works closely with all functional leads to ensure cohesive, coordinated messaging and branding of JerseySTEM.

This is a pro-bono volunteer position.   JerseySTEM provides free after school STEM classes to underserved middle school girls grade 5-8. The Community Engagement Team Lead provides leadership, direction and planning to identify, reach out to and engage with Middle Schools of interest  that could benefit from our afterschool STEM programs. Will build and lead a team of Area Managers  responsible for designated regions. The role is responsible for maintaining our current collaboration tool, Slack. Background check: As part of the onboarding process for JerseySTEM, volunteers complete a background check through Sterling Volunteers. This costs $11.50 paid directly to the Sterling Volunteers website.

The Community Manager is assigned a specific Town/Community  where she/he will be in charge of reaching out to the schools in that area  and engaging with Middle Schools of interest  that could benefit from our afterschool STEM programs for underserved middle school Girls.

This is a pro-bono volunteer position.   JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.  The College Engagement Department Head provides leadership, direction and planning to identify, reach out to and partner with Universities and Colleges in New Jersey in order initiate programs that secure the supply of volunteer program instructors to be deployed in the middle schools JerseySTEM serves.

This is a pro-bono volunteer position.   Under the direction of organization leadership, the Head of Finance will plan, organize, direct and manage financial activities including budgeting, cash flow, expense reimbursement, matching gift management, and corporate/local sponsorship. The Head of Finance will advise volunteers and organization leadership on finance-related issues and will develop, coordinate and implement financial policies and procedures across the organization.

JerseySTEM has exciting unpaid internship opportunities for individuals interested in 20 hour/week commitment for at least one month. The Intern will be responsible to work on projects relevant to JerseySTEM mission to deliver after school enrichment classes to underserved kids. Projects would be related to JerseySTEM Data Analytics department.   If you have a college degree, are interested in having an impact on students' lives and willing/able to commit 20 hours/week, then send us your resume.
